The countdown to a fantastic Christmas in Glasgow begins in George Square as Glasgow's Winter Festivals programme makes a dazzling start with the 'Lights On' event to signal the turning on of the city's most spectacular Christmas lights yet.
There will be a great party atmosphere with a whole host of children's characters milling around the square to meet the kids, while there's a wonderful music roadshow providing the background to the great fireworks display on the roof of the City Chambers.
